  • Can I Still Take the 2026 Survey?

1. Good News.

I received over 1,000 responses to our 2026 Survey and it was insanely helpful getting direct feedback from so many of you.

One of the best parts of being such a small business is that there aren't a billion hoops for us to jump through to enact change. We do have a limited budget to work with, so some lofty ideas aren't as achievable. But there are a lot of suggestions that we're able to act on pretty quickly.

And that's literally my favorite part of doing Surveys and from getting feedback throughout the year. I get an outsiders perspective on things that might seem so obvious, but when you're in the thick of it, sometimes you're not seeing the forest for the trees.

There are a lot of things that I've already started working on and hope to be able to add in the coming weeks including expanding our Rewards Program with more opportunities to earn points, as well as better options for redeeming them.

I'm also working with artists on creating more exclusive designs to launch more of our OUAT Limited Features, as well as testing some different industry blank tees, hoodies and tanks to do limited runs on.

2. Bad News (Or at least Not as Great News).

A few weeks ago, I sent out a survey asking for your feedback on the future of OUAT.

We received over 1,000 responses and it was insanely helpful getting direct feedback from so many of you.

If you're new here, my name is Jason and I run this small, family business in Tempe, AZ. We print, pack and ship everything ourselves. We support Independent Artists. Never AI. We don't cut corners. We don't have chat bots answering e-mails. We're real people. Reading and responding to every e-mail. Every DM. And every comment on our socials. And that's something that I take a lot of pride in.

It's something that I do because I genuinely care about this little niche space that we carved out together.

And you are the reason that I have held off raising prices for as long as I possibly could. Because while I know that things have gotten WAY harder for me, I know that they've gotten way harder for you too. Groceries and rent have skyrocketed. The day to day feels overwhelming.

And sometimes... just impossible. And I am right there with you.

The last time I raised prices was in 2023, and I’ve put off doing it again for as long as I possibly could. I tried to absorb the cost increases, wait things like tariffs out or try to find a way around them.

But unfortunately, none of those are realistic options anymore, and if we want to still be here tomorrow, we need to make the changes that we talked about in our Survey (if you didn't take it yet and want to, we're going to open it up again for another week. You can find it at the end of this blog).

So starting today, February 16th, I have been forced to raise our prices.

I went with the absolute lowest amount I could raise them by and I am going to do my best to keep the pricing here, even though more than half of you said that you'd be okay with going to $20. I never want to charge more than I have to.

In the meantime, please know that I’m not raising prices so I can buy a yacht or disappear into early retirement. I’m honestly just trying to find a way to cover rising healthcare costs, pay my employees and artists a living wage, and maybe, eventually, pay myself again.

3. 2026 Survey Responses

Most of our survey responses had open ended options to give more direct input/feedback, so there are a lot of questions that I can't cover here succinctly. I'm going to try to create some content soon to talk about your responses on those questions.

Below you can find some of the results to some of our multiple choice questions from our 2026 Survey.

4. Reminder: Never AI.

We have never printed AI.

We will never print AI.

Everyone has their right to feel the way that they do about the pervasive nature of AI when it comes to the art world. And if you disagree with our stance, that's totally okay. But we're a team of artists that support other artists. And this is something that is very serious to me and my team.

I have always done everything that I can to support our Independent Artists and that's not something that will ever change.

5. Can I Still Take the 2026 Survey?

Unfortunately, the 2026 Survey has ended. But we will be doing another one in a few months to check in with everyone, so stay tuned.

Whew. If you made it this far, well, thank you!

I know that there was a lot to read, but transparency and open communication are two things that are very important to me. I know that for most people, we're just a "t-shirt company". And that's totally okay. I don't expect for it to mean more than that to everyone. But we've made so many friendships over the years and have heard so many stories about how our interactions have saved people from some really dark times.

And that all means so much more than I can put into words. For me. For my family that works with me. And for our artists.

Your feedback directly shapes what we do and how we move forward. We can't do it without you and that's not something I take for granted.

As always, if you have any questions or just would like to chat with us about the pricing change or... anything.

Please feel free to reach out to us at Support@onceuponatee.net.

Sincerely,
Jason and the OUAT Team
